Why not serve hot coffee drinks at your Staff Christmas Party or Staff Canteen?
During the winter months, we also look forward to Christmas — a time to gather with family, reflect on the year, and celebrate achievements together. Most businesses will organise a staff get‑together to mark the occasion, which is not only a great morale booster but also a valuable opportunity for colleagues to connect in a relaxed, festive setting.
Some Christmas events take place in hotels, restaurants, or cafés within the HORECA sector, where food and drink options are pre‑arranged. In these cases, choosing a menu with a wide variety of options is a smart way to ensure everyone finds something they enjoy. Other businesses prefer to host their Christmas celebrations on their own premises, giving them greater flexibility and full control over the menu.
Offering a mix of alcoholic and non‑alcoholic hot coffee drinks can be a standout feature at any event, especially with the growing number of coffee enthusiasts in the workplace.
Below, you’ll find a selection of tasty, easy‑to‑prepare recipes. You can also elevate classic non‑caffeinated winter favourites — such as eggnog — by adding a touch of coffee for extra depth.
Pumpkin Spice Latte
This typical winter coffee drink is served in most cafes and restaurants. It has many recipe variations. Yet, you can prepare it simply by mixing all the ingredients into a cup. You can add more or less of each to suit any individual palate.
Ingredients
- Coconut milk
- Pumpkin purée
- Maple syrup
- Vanilla extract
- Spices (like cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger)
- & espresso or your coffee of choice
Preparation Method
Mix all the ingredients into a cup, adding more or less of each according to your palate.
Irish Coffee
Probably the most traditional drink in Ireland for this time of year (the jury is out!), this drink offers sweetness, smoothness and taste all in one cup. The preparation is not complex, and it can be made non-alcoholic.
Ingredients
- White cream
- Demerara sugar
- Espresso
- Whisky
- Optional: Nutmeg, Vanilla Extract, Cinnamon
You can adapt the quantity of each ingredient to suit your taste.
Preparation Method
Begin by mixing demerara sugar with boiling water to make a syrup (2 parts sugar to 3 parts water).
Add the sugar to a small dose of whisky. Whip the cream until it starts to stiffen (about 30ml per cup). Prepare the espresso or coffee shot using your preferred method. Mix the coffee with the whisky (already with syrup) and add the cream on top.
You can add vanilla, grated nutmeg, or cinnamon to garnish the drink and serve.
Cardamon Latte
Cardamom is a unique spice with an intense, specific flavour. This recipe is well-balanced with sweetness from the honey and smoothness from the milk. Some studies suggest it may have anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties.
Ingredients
- Espresso
- Honey
- Milk (regular, soy, almond, oat)
- Ground Cardamon
Preparation Method
It is as easy as mixing all the ingredients. However, if you fancy finding variations or more information about the drink, you can do so here.
